Conan- The wait is over!!!

November 8th is finnaly here. Conan will make his triumphant return to late night TV. I am certain that he will have huge ratings for not only the premier, but also the first week.  TBS is doing a great job running funny Conan commercials to build anticipation.

Conan's main demographic (those under 75, unlike Leno) are pumped to see a host that isnt a snobby elitist Dave, or a boring clown (Jay).

Conan will certainly take jabs at Leno as evidenced by this recent quote "Jay can come be the musical guest on a show." TBS is doin ok with the George Lopez show, but with Conan they are truly becoming relevant in a genre few would have ever anticipated. I cant wait for Monday night!

  1. TBS has certainly done a great job promoting this. I don't really even watch tv, let alone TBS, and I've still seen a lot of the ads for this. I think this will premiere pretty high, because Conan's followers are loyal, and excited to see him return. Hopefully the show will be different and similar enough to maintain old fans and garner new ones.

  2. When I heard that Conan was coming to TBS, I had to laugh right along with him, because to me, it seemed as though he was giving a big "EFF YOU!" to NBC... I'm really happy to see him back on late night television even if it is cable... it's a great opportunity for him to come back as the host that his legions of fans know him as, as well as a chance to gain new fans... I think that his new show will blast Jay Leno out of the water... perhaps even the premiere may even set records (I hope)... GO COCO!!!

  3. They are really promoting this. Ads are everywhere, even on Youtube. It will probably do pretty well, being that Conan is known, and already has fans.

  4. I'm not a big fan of these type of shows but when I heard Concan was making a huge come back, I never thought a station like TBS would have him. Lopez tonight is not getting the type of ratings that it use to but now that Conan is coming on, I don't know how much longer Lopez will have.

  5. This show really helps viewer's perception of TBS. I know when I watched the show last night it felt like I was watching a network late night show as opposed to a "Lopez Tonight". Also, early ratings have Conan ahead of Leno. This whole thing could really shake-up late night. I enjoyed the show last night and Conan even brought back old favorite "Masturbating Bear". Classic stuff.
