YSU President event
I attended the ceremony for Dr. Cynthia Anderson. The event was very grand. I had a good time hearing differant people speak about what leadership entails. Dr. Anderson's speech was very direct- she wants people to think about more than themselves, as this will better the community / university. If you missed out, that was a mistake, as there were plent of influential people available to network with afterwards at the reception. Excellent time!

I did not attend the event because I just think how many times do we have to "bang the drum" for Dr. Anderson. I think it's great that she is in charge but there is an alarming trend with influential people talking and talking and talking about what they are going to do instead of acting. I hope that the networking was beneficial to all the students who went, I just don't see the point to all the for show stuff.
