November 8th is finnaly here. Conan will make his triumphant return to late night TV. I am certain that he will have huge ratings for not only the premier, but also the first week. TBS is doing a great job running funny Conan commercials to build anticipation.

Conan's main demographic (those under 75, unlike Leno) are pumped to see a host that isnt a snobby elitist Dave, or a boring clown (Jay).
Conan will certainly take jabs at Leno as evidenced by this recent quote "Jay can come be the musical guest on a show." TBS is doin ok with the George Lopez show, but with Conan they are truly becoming relevant in a genre few would have ever anticipated. I cant wait for Monday night!

Mike and Molly- Gaining fans!!...somehow
Much to my suprise, Mike & Molly may have legs after all. The series is gaining fans in many key demographics. TVbythenumbers says that the show came in second for shows after 8pm for the second week in a row. It is doing well with men and women age 18-49. The show's last episode on Monday drew about 12 million viewers. This is great for CBS, obviosly. The show is playing up the love interest between the two leads, while still throwing in enough self-depricating "fat jokes" to keep it's audience happy, apparently. We will see if this continues, or if the show drops quickly, as I predict!

YSU President event
I attended the ceremony for Dr. Cynthia Anderson. The event was very grand. I had a good time hearing differant people speak about what leadership entails. Dr. Anderson's speech was very direct- she wants people to think about more than themselves, as this will better the community / university. If you missed out, that was a mistake, as there were plent of influential people available to network with afterwards at the reception. Excellent time!

Mike & Molly- Not terrible!
Hello again. Mike & Molly is a new show on CBS. It is unique in the sense that it features two obese main characters. The show is on CBS, Monday's at 9:30pm. The two leads are played by relatively unknown actors. There is not one recognizable name on the show. I watched it, and was surprised that it didn't suck! There were some funny moments, actually. The show reminds me of "The King of Queens" meets "Biggest Loser." It is not a bad show, but it likely will not get picked up, like the majority of new series'.
There were plenty of self-depricating "fat jokes," and if people actually tune in, they may enjoy Mike & Molly.

Conan's New Show
Conan O'Brien is returning to TV in November on TBS. Despite being on cable, I think the show is going to do great in the ratings. There were plenty of fans that wanted Conan to remain as Tonght Show host, and I am sure these people will tune in. TBS currently is featuring the George Lopez show, but Conan is a notch above him, clearly, as far as appeal. Most Americans have cable these days, so I dont think this will hinder the show.
The target audience is likely 18-40 year olds. This is the demographic that feels Jay Leno's talk show appeals to those mainly that remember TV before technicolor. Once "Conan" gets its' feet under it, I am sure it will be a lasting success.
